Employee Resource Groups

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a tool we use to promote and support, as well as illustrate, the impact and value that diversity has on our business. There are currently 12 Global ERGs at Amgen, all with executive sponsorship, that are organized around a primary diversity dimension. We provide leaders and managers with training and tools to lead a diverse workforce and create an inclusive environment.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belong (D, I and B) in Ireland

Amgen has deep roots in Ireland. We are proud to be part of the Irish scientific and business community for over 25 years.

Our DI&B strategy in Ireland reflects our commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels supported, valued and connected.

Through visible leadership advocacy, targeted education and an active culture of belonging, we cultivate a culture of belonging that celebrates diversity and where inclusion is the norm.

We ensure that our people feel empowered to contribute unique perspectives and talents, which drives our mission to serve patients and excel in our industry. In Ireland, our ERGs are:

  • Women Empowered to be Exceptional (WE2) – supporting and empowering women.
  • PRIDE - advocating for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Amgen Cultural Exchange (ACE) - celebrating our diverse cultures.
  • Ability Bettered through Leadership and Education (ABLE) - supporting those with a disability or who are carers.
  • The Amgen Early Career Professionals’ (AECP) - providing training and supports for early career professionals.

Designed to promote, support and illustrate the positive impact of diversity on our business, our Ireland ERGs are also a key component in helping us to recruit and retain diverse talent.

We also established a Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Council that oversees and co-ordinates our ERGs’ activities.
